New Bandai Gunpla announcements for 2025

Bandai has just released their new Gunpla model kit release schedule for the months of January through to March 2025 with one kit that was totally unexpected.

January 2025 releases:

In January they'll be releasing the Entry Grade Strike Rouge which is just a colour variant of the already released Entry Grade Strike Gundam. Comes with its beam rifle and shield. Can be combined with Bandai's Option Parts sets.

Option Parts Sets Gunpla 14 (Gunbarrel Striker)It can be transformed from fighter plane form to backpack form and attached to various other 1/144 scale Gunpla using the include adaptors.

February 2025 releases

Option Parts Set Gunpla 15 (Cavalier Aifrid). As featured in the recent Gundam Seed Freedom anime film, this armour is seeing a release. Comes various joints to allow it be equipped to various other 1/144 scale Gunpla kits. Also comes with an Action base 7 so it can display on its own and a Rail gun featured in the anime film.

HG 1/144 Z'Gok (SEED FREEDOM Ver.). Seeing its release in February is Athrun's armoured mobile suit as seen in the Gundam Seed Freedom film. It has partially replicated the Z'Gok's feature of it being the outer armour housing the Infinite Justice Gundam Type II by allowing you to combine the head and torso from the Spec II kit into the build of the Z'Gok. Comes with a Backpack, Red-hot claws x 2, Damaged head armour x 1, Beam effect x 4, Sticker x 1.

March 2025 releases:

HG 1/144 Psycho Gundam Mk-II. Another big HG 1/144 scale kit following the HG Destroy Gundam. Standing about 27cm tall in its mobile suit form when built. It can transform into its mobile fortress mode as seen in the Zeta Gundam anime. The kit will come with a bunch of accessories such as a Action Base 4, beam effect parts, damaged head and stands for its reflector bits and Psycommu beam cannons in its fingers.

MG 1/100 Gundam Vidar. Now this this was unexpected but a welcome one. Only the second Iron Blooded Orphans MG release, after the Gundam Barbatos. This kit looks amazing just like the Barbatos before it. Featuring its array of weapons as seen in the anime from its dual pistols, beam rifle to its burst sabre with replaceable blades housed in containers at the hips. The kit's internal frame will actually be an updated version to the one used in the Barbatos, allowing greater shoulder motion. March can't come sooner.
